Managing Solar Performance

Achieving optimum light levels by managing the amount of daylight entering into the room is important. The challenge is to maximise natural daylight, manage glare and comply with legislations. Different openness factors are needed to accommodate window direction, location and glazing. Each of our fabrics demonstrate shielding performance with a critical measurement rating, this is especially important at workstations to increase the productivity and wellbeing of building occupants, by providing a good external view of the outside and prevent eye strain caused by excessive glare. In workplaces where people work on computer screens while glazings tend to be larger and larger, glare must be controlled. Daylight contains UV rays which will damage furniture, art and surfaces over prolonged exposure. Our systems are engineered to offer protection by reducing UV transmittance, the materials are internally treated for resistance to sunlight achieving a non-fading extensive service life. We specialise in the ability to preserve views and connect occupants with the outdoor environment, even whilst the shades are fully deployed and inhibit views where necessary.
