Safety is paramount as part of our design and manufacturing process
Ultrasound Blinds manufacture shading products that not only enhance the look of interiors, but are as safe as possible to use. We use robust safety devices that reduce the risk of accidents involving children, and by thoroughly testing all of our systems to meet the standards defined in BS EN 13120.
UK legislation states that any new blinds manually controlled by chain or cord, installed into a building where a child between the ages of 0-42 months is likely to be present, must be fitted with a cord or chain retainer at least 1.5m from the floor. This is not specific to residential properties, systems installed into buildings where the public have access, (i.e. schools, hospitals etc) are likely to accommodate children within this age bracket, and installation must also be complete with safety devices.
